Y Gen and X Gen

 The classes of second week of february starts today with a prayer in the chapel.  First class was taken by Giby ma'am.  Ma'am took an interesting class in psychology with the idea of shrink the glass of expectation.  The second class taken by Dr. Maya maam. Ma'am taught aim, curriculum, self realization of education in idealism.  Then we had our optional class.  The teacher completes the topic teacher behaviour and gave the idea "Give a man a fish & you feed him a day;teach a man to fish & you feed him for a life time. Then we gave name to our association as solasta means shining and then updated our notice board.        The first class after lunch was taken by our principal Dr. Benedict sir. This is for the first time sir taking a class for us.  Sir starts with saying about Y generation and X generation.  After it sir said what is the role of teacher.  Finally sir remembered the quote of swami Vivekananda that " ...

ICE BREAKING

      First day of February begins with an ice breaking section by Mr. Joby Kondoor Sir from 9.30 to 12.30.  Although there was 3 hrs class it was really interesting.  He teaches us to respect not only the elders but also each and every one.  Through some activities he taught us how to become good person as well as good teacher.  He also taught us to say NO to fake things.  The section ends with talking about 5 qualities required for a good relationship.  They are Respect everyone, understanding, caring, cooperation and responsibility.       The afternoon section was taken by Maya ma'am and Joju sir.  Maya ma'am give seminar topic and then teach the functions of education.  Joju sir explains some terminogy in technology education.  These are also very interesting.  Then we had our physical education class and we played a minor game 'Lamb and Lion' which had really a lot of fun.

ഏകയാന... ഒന്നായി ഒന്നിലേക്ക്...

  Today onwards the offline classes got start again after a small break.  Then we have the yoga class.  An external yoga trainer come to teach yoga and he is a well trained yoga teacher.  Sir introduced a lot of things.  Next we have a class of Maya ma'am on competancy.  Then we got time for practice of our afternoon program that is the official republic Day program 'ekayana'.  The program starts at about 2 pm.  The first program was a song by sukanya of malayalam optional.  Then there is a excellent performance karaoke with dance of English students.  The third one is the theme play of mathematics which is a marvellous one on unity. Then Subhash of social science sung a song for us and the class together sung nadanpattu.       Next was our program a folk dance of Himachal Pradesh.   https://photos.app.goo.gl/ndtY3eUKCnmY5R7BA      At last natural science sung a song for us and the program end...

PEDAGOGY-The Art of Teaching

      The 4th day of online class starts with optional hour. Our Neena ma'am starts with different types of teaching, characteristics of teaching and learning. Every day our ma'am find some time to healthy discussions to solve our doubts.        Then we have our physical education class and George sir starts the basic lessons of yoga and taught us the pranayama 'anulom vilom' and we practiced it for some times.       In third hour Dr Ancy ma'am discusses about the Piaget's cognitive stages of development and gave the necessary notes for us. The presence of our principal in that class makes it more effective.

Back to online.... GOOGLE MEET

 Due to some technical reasons, we have online class in this week.  Again back to google meet... Our first online class in BEd starts with the class of Ancy ma'am. Ma'am introduced how to make google form and it was a first knowledge for me and it's a good tool in e learning.  Then ma'am give a class on developmental tasks. After a short break we have a  talk on find the hero inside you by Joju sir.  It is really an inspirational one. Sir give a string of examples of Succeeded persons which include Kalam, Gandhi, Edison, Bill Gates and so on..  The  we have our optional class. I am so happy to express that our neena ma'am give a large interest in seeking our goodness and she gave some activities for us which include write how science used tosolve problems by analysing jantar mantar in jaipur

 Today the inauguration of our renovated canteen was done by our bursar and got a piece of cake in that happiest moment...  In the educational psychology class Giby maam give an activity to place the book in overhead and draw a circle and a eleven the two round eyes, nose, mouth, hair and ears..it was really a fun at first and it look like this..

FIRST WEEK IN MY NEW COLLEGE

 "Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter"     - John Keats.      The 65th batch of Mar Theophilus Training College(MTTC, Dominus Mea Illuminatio ) has started on 06/01/2021.       The function starts with the the prayer song by   Dr. Deepthi Elizabeth Mathew and Mrs. Shiney Jacob.   In the absence of our principal Dr. K Y Benedict sir, Dr. Giby maam inaugurated the function.  After it all other teachers introduced themselves.        The first week is full of orientation program.  From the orientation classes it is clear that BEd course is entirely different from our ug and pg course. We are called as student teachers. There is an ice breaking session of Dr. Maya maam.       The director of MEd Dr. V Reghu sir, take a session  on time management and Dr Joju John sir handled an interactive session.        Another interesting fea...
